The purpose of the Spirit of God is to continue the Kingdom of God in the lives of people even when the Savior may be forgotten. If Jesus is alive in us and the world turns against us because it cannot see the Kingdom, our calling is to remain identified as His for their sake. That commitment sounds easy enough, but it is hard to keep the pain of this broken world from interfering with the forward march of love and mercy. It is not you or I that is insulted or abused in this conflict, but the heart of Our Lord and Savior and Father. Be sorrowful for Him even if the pain seems focused on us. His Name is the game that matters….. always.
