I hear that Bill Gates is promising hundreds of Millions to various charitable purposes. So also Boone Pickens has not only supported OK State U. but has promised huge amounts to charities. There was a widow in one of my congregations whose giving was bigger each year than owners of successful businesses. And Micah would offer that working at a rescue place or a home for orphans would count greater than any of these. Has my life responded to others with a heart that cares more than what they would think of me than what the Lord was offering them? Has my heart worried about what they think of me than what I hope they would gain or regain in their lives because of what any of us do for or with them? The bottom line is this: The Lord blesses His people so that we would reflect His blessings, love and grace to the world around us.
