I know that French Fries are real, I like them in a number of places that sell them even if they are a bit different. Real also are pork chops. HMM. But God? Moses is reflecting the intimate connection of Yahweh with the people in the exodus. Have we encountered for real that on the cross Jesus intimately touched every person with a “get free pass” to the Father? All sin, all brokenness, all guilt is put aside that we can walk with God in intimacy daily. The Exodus was a preparation for the salvation of the world that we now have to offer in hundreds of versions as we have produced that many forms of Christian response to one act of freedom. Please today, determine to know Jesus so well that all the church stuff would point to Him every time we encounter a preacher, a service or a message or song. He must be real today.
