I am sending you to them 18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'
Did you ever think of the power of Satan? That power called Eve and Adam to seek the place of God. That power calls us to self-worship and service. I wonder how much Paul felt of the power of Satan as he ran the believers out of Jerusalem? I wonder how much we feel the power of Satan as we fight each other for better pay, higher regard, and more victories in our current struggles. Do we rejoice in the power of the forgiveness of sins, the promise of eternity with holiness and the place in the glory of our creator? Could that give us a purpose in this twisted, unguided life that seems often before us? Paul was called by the highest power, who is calling you and I today?
