Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
2 Corinthians 3:2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Have you ever been asked to give a recommendation for someone or been asked about someone you know? It is hard to give a fully honest statement because everyone I know has some kind of less than perfect aspect to them even if they are the best there is. (I recently witnessed a discussion on Micheal Jordan vs. Lebron James where their character was part of the evaluation along with their basketball gifts). Yet it is true that one of the best comments on a church has to do with more than the pastor but even what the members reflect about the congregation and its witness. Paul was referring to that kind of evaluation. What do you and I offer to the world about the people or groups we represent? Is Jesus and the present Holy Spirit shining through or are our human gifts and organizational values lifted up? What recommendation would someone give you or me if asked? Are we the letters for a group written on their hearts? How would you offer someone as a positive letter on your heart?
