Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
Jeremiah 31:33 "This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time," declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Jerusalem destroyed, the temple razed, the people who seemed to matter the most after the deaths of thousands taken off over 600 miles to a captivity and place of great non-Hebrew power and then this promise is given by the Lord who now lifts up hope. In the middle of the night, there is a flash of light to renew our hopes. The horror was not the punishment, but the neglect of God that was full of the people of Israel. I look at the people of America, obsessed with money, success, sexuality, pride, racial mistrust and many other false gods and wonder how long until we find an abundance of heart changes and minds who respond to the living law of God fed by His Living Spirit. Israel had 70 years of captivity. Can we pray that there will not be a captivity for our nation before the sins and perversions succeed? Can we look to the Living Spirit of God to redirect our hearts to love one another and put aside the arrogance of our many forms of pride? If we face the horror of the consequences of American life, will we still seek the Lord? Let us seek Him now and let His law enter and fill our minds and hearts.
