I John 2:17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
Doing the will of the world is way too easy. We do not even acknowledge the will of the world in our daily events. We do not really test the need to pay the utilities, the car payments or rent while we often double check the need of the mission or congregation even as we put the pen to the check or the click to the auto-pay. I have been doing our monthly giving by check even though it is pretty possible to pay more easily without the charge of the postage stamps. My reason is that I can stop a moment and actually pray for God’s will for the recipients who are doing the purposes of our gift. That works for taking time to pray, visit, serve or whatever we are doing in the Will of God.
