I have generally taken the word Creation as an act that brings something new out of even nothing or at least a new view of the regular world such as the creation of ideas, art, music or such. 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. The new creation is the new way of dealing not just with SINS, but with sin which is now under the cross and not Mt. Sinai and the rules of separation but the rule of reconciliation (an ever living sacrifice paid)! Note that our world – the world of parents, law, social structure and such – is still under the law of the Mountain which offers destruction, but under the law of the cross which offers healing and newness of life.
