Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
Ephesians 5: 7-11 Therefore do not be partners with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
It would seem simple to hang on to “ goodness, righteousness and truth ” but they are certainly words that darkness uses also. “It is good that we win!” “ It is right and true to stand against those who do not agree with us.” What fruit do you think the Lord wants produced in our lives? It is not winning some argument, but lives that offer the hope of peace with God, love of others (even the sowers of darkness) and even the sacrifice of personal prestige for the sake of those who need the witness to Our Father that will stand the test of not just today, but life. To expose the darkness, we need to be light, not in power, but in faithfulness to our Savior and Lord to our broken world. Bring the fruit of light in Jesus.
