1 Thessalonians 1:8-10 8 The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, 9 for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
I hope somewhere, somehow, someone has done something like this because of you or I. That in our living someone has made a serious, conclusive attack on the things of this world and allowed the call of God to move them to leave the idols of this world and to serve The Lord. The true test of our living is not what others might see in us, but what the Lord has used in us to bring others to be the testimony of our lives. May our congregation send out life changers, may our words inspire new missions and may our area and community become mission centers of life change and hope to the darkness of people around us and beyond. By the way, Macedonia was a province and Achaia a territory that today are Macedonia and Greece; no small areas of influence. Oh, maybe today Texas and tomorrow Mexico…
