Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
1 Kings 18:21 Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him." But the people said nothing.
This was offered before the challenge on Mt. Carmel (rest of chapter). This is the question each of us face daily. Is this the day our political party wins or the Lord? Is this the day I work for my family and finances or the Lord? Is this the day my team plays for my city, state, nation or the Lord? Is this the option I need to be aware of when I wake in the morning? Or is this the moment when I face my love of self, my service to fear and my unwillingness to recognize the Lord as God? I would offer that this is the moment we get to walk in the challenge of Elijah and do, act and risk in the awareness of His presence. Maybe no burning altars, but at least a fire in our bellies!
