I wish that this were not possible. I wish that every person who claims part in a fellowship of faith would be truly of the name and in the line of the faithful. But we are not. We use the name of Jesus, of God and live for ourselves with lives dedicated to our ancestry, our future goals and the aura of the holy names and places. The truth must be faced by all of us, yes, me also, that our strength is often our own based on His history and sacrifice without us living in His history and strength. The covering of false life is seen too often and the whole bread is touched by the yeast (leaven) of our desires for acceptance and trust – not for Him, but for ourselves. This cry from Isaiah belongs before all of our churches and fellowships. Lord, make me wholly yours.
