Revelation 13:8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.
When your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life, it will be a beautiful script with whirls and shapes unlike anything ever crafted for books and letters. The source of the writing will not be from some previous entries which would doom those not in the book, but from that relationship which was crafted in faith and fellowship in this life. His death on the cross is His gift, but the life that comes unto eternity is not predetermined by some other input. He died, we believe and the life we live is in that relationship where He has paid the way and we have walked in it. All others, those not believing are lost and their lives are filled with worship of self and therefore the beast. The idea of predestination (“the book has already been written”) is a distraction from the invitation to walk in faith in the Lamb who was slain from the foundations of the world. Has our name been written, has yours? Is it not beautiful?
