1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
The first inclination would be to use “Light of knowledge” or “Light of wisdom” which are not exactly the same things. But as you read the preceding verses: “God is Light” covers the issue. Walk in life with God is in the Light. The only way to encounter and abide in such light is to have the blood of Jesus as the reality of our lives. This is not just a statement of mental affirmation, but a way of life that starts out being cleansed, and living cleansed – that is opened to life with our Father who has sent the light and His Son for us to cling to. Jesus lived in the life of His Father and we are invited to see that reality in our living. Then comes fellowship, identity one with the other cleansed by His sacrifice.
