John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
If there never were darkness, we would not appreciate the light. But consider that light is the very essence of the creation: Gen 1:3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. Light is that which is formed in the process of the making of all matter, form and function. The evil, hate and destruction of life is always together with darkness while goodness, agape love and building are functions of light in a world where both the light and the dark are raging in the realities of our brokenness. I pray that we always seek the truth, the light, the hope and the power of what Jesus has totally revealed in the heart of God for those who live surrounded by the power of the emptiness of darkness which covers the emptiness of our personal powers and futures without His light. He shines while we grope. In the darkness seek the light.
