Zechariah 13:9 This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'The LORD is our God.'"
The Lord has already promised to destroy two thirds of the people who were to shepherd the nation. The one third left would be trained (refined and tested) to hear from the Lord. We are in a time of failures of the shepherds who are in broken lives in our world. False religions grow in power and violence. Morality has been set aside in the quest for comforts and safeties that no longer exist. Our leaderships have found their hope in continuing leadership without responsibility to either the flock in the nation or to righteousness before God or each other. What will be left will be hurting, seeking and needing to start over with the loving hand of our Father over them. There will be hard lessons following such adjustments. It is time for those who know the Lord to prepare seriously to help those who will be seeking the refinement of life in the days ahead. Prepare to help that remnant to know their God.
