2 Corinthians 5:14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
What benefit is it that Jesus showed incredible, totally sacrificial love to all and yet is rejected by so many? It is sad that we maintain the pain of separation from each other, even when we are in families, congregations and even fellowship groups. At some point the awesome reality that Jesus died FOR ALL covers someone who does not seem to have any real living relationship with This God Of Love! And in that reality we can offer life again and again when that love is rejected by the worldly point of view which continues to offer judgment and separation. I offer here the hope that you and I have heard the stories of those who have given their lives in hostile environments for the love of even those who have killed them. All die, but Dear Lord, you have given yourself for all of them to hear again “Father Forgive Them”.
