Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
Hebrews 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
He was tempted, tried, tested even tormented and did not fail too love those who did such (exception to Satan I suspect), but loved (sacrificed Himself for them) those who did so. And He entered into the Holy Place as the sacrifice that replaced goats, heifers and even oxen and the rest so that we might find the door to the very throne of God open to us who have only His invitation as a qualification.
Footnote: All the other “High Priests” were therefore “unable to empathize with our weaknesses” is still a truism. As brothers and sisters in Christ we offer prayers, open ears and love, but without the full ability to understand all the powers at work in each of us sinners that Jesus has. When we come to each other, even pastors and counselors, understand He really knows the call of the hearts. And when we counsel or stand with the hurting, pray for His wisdom to stand with us.
