Numbers and The Anointed

Daniel 9:24 "Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place. 25 "Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26 After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

I have seen the math! From the time of the temple to Jesus’ death and resurrection the claim is that all the sevens will have come. Then…. We get a whole bunch of “end of things” claims. Disasters are predicted that dwarf anything we have yet seen. The angelic broadcasts of Revelation are …. And here I get confused! I see a new heaven and a new earth and others are seeing the terrors of the seals, the trumpets, the casting down of Satan, the witnesses and all the horrors as somehow a time to expect. Maybe that will happen, but I see the promise of the Anointed as a hope for the whole book of Revelation and not even to get nervous about all the wrap up troubles which so many have already seen. Have we heard of the Civil War, the 100 years war, the Mongols across Asia, WW I, WW II, the struggle for Israel and all the diseases of years ago and the drug and alcohol terrors over our lands and families? The past and the future are the same until He comes again. The evil of this world is relentless, but the promise of our Father and His Son is certain and that is what I see and hear even from Daniel.
