Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ

Fellowship

1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our joy complete.

Most of the time, fellowship, Koinonia in Greek, is about people time. And it is important that we gather together as fellowships around the reality of Our God, Father, Son and Spirit. BUT, the real bottom line fellowship is not with each other, though we share time, space and love with each other, it is with God, Father, Son and Spirit. Unless we are in touch with Him, we depend on human weaknesses, human limits and human prejudices to maintain frail fellowships that need the touch/covering/mercy of our Father to survive. Most fellowships have a built in time limit based on central human figures of various blessings to survive. (1) Fellowship with God is limited by eternity and that should make it worth more than the other types. What are we hanging on to today?

Check Revelation 2 and 3 for comments on human fellowships.
