Mark 2:27 Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."
See May 21st – “response to the creator.” This was about taking a bit of grain off the stalks for the men to snack on during a sabbath. Now the standard is “for man” to rest, to recover, to be supplied it seems. Is this different than “to the creator”. I suspect the rabbis and theologians could go at this for a long time. Does this allow me time on Sunday (why not Saturday the 7th day) for football? All of these questions can wrap us up in torment for years. I suspect they have already for some. For you and I: two questions: 1) Do I worship God, My Father with awe, focus and peace? 2) Do I allow time away from the pressures of life for my health? If either of these answers is no, I am in need of the Sabbath! ---- Hey, what about Saturday, the 7th day? That’s tomorrow, today is Saturday – check questions 1 and 2!
