Philippians 3:7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ
I have met Doctorates. I have been with leaders of companies. Fine people all (so far as I could tell). Even met professional athletes (not as many as I would have liked). I know people worth (on paper) $1,000,000 or more. Have you? If you are one of them, have you had days of doubt about your purpose in life? Have we who met them doubted our purpose? Can you see in the world around you something that would be worth more than all you have to show or claim? What if you could sit day after day, walk day after day with God? Serve day after day with God? Paul discovered that. nothing else mattered. The prayer of the body of Christ is that everyone we meet might encounter that joy, that purpose, that fellowship. Those credentials will stand!
