Which Is He?

Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."

Is this the God of the universe, creator of all that is, stars, suns, earth, rain, man and woman? Or is this Jesus, the one who died, rose and lives forever? It may be a silly question, but it may also be a serious answer. There are many who make a big distinction and it is logical between Father, Son and Spirit. “I only do what my Father does” helps that interpretation. But the fact is that there is a unity in the three that must not be disrupted in our thinking or faith picture. That Jesus prayed that the task in the garden be taken from him was real in the flesh, but the task was still his in his heart. He was sent for this, had predicted it enough that the disciples did remember later and that task was of the Father, from the Father and unto the glory of the Father. The logical truth that Jesus needed to pray, needed the Father’s hand in all He did is still true also. He was on the mission He had chosen for the sake of the world He loves. When we see Jesus, see God in action for us, with us and in us and in spite of us. The beginning and the end (Alpha and Omega)!
