Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
2 Corinthians 5:20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 6:1 As God's co-workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. 2 For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.
Note this does not say “quit sinning”, but “be reconciled”. In that new relationship given by Jesus, the first step is to be reconciled. See in Jesus a life that offers a living walk with the God of the universe and the Father of our hearts. We are normally separated from our Father by our sins. These have been covered by Jesus on the cross and therefore we are offered a new way of life supported by the Living Holy Spirit who will bring our sin into focus and our calling into activity. In the goodness which Jesus has become, we are offered an open door to fellowship with Our Father which is called “salvation.” Come, be reconciled.
