John 1:16-17 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
I will offer this as a possibility for you to ponder. The Law given to Moses and all of the redeemed from Egypt was from the heart of God for those people to respond to His saving actions in Egypt and through the desert travels. When Jesus came, the Law was now not for the boards and tassels of the people, but for the very hearts of those who now by the grace and revelation of Jesus could live truth with Him. It is not the written law that drives us, but the living presence of the Spirit of Life and Love that will lead us to the joy of fullness of God. The Law was never bad, it could not offer hope in the face of our weakness, the Grace of God can offer hope in the face of our failures. This is from the fullness of God.
