Colossians 1:5 the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6 that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God's grace.
Hope has a look into the future built upon the past and present understandings of life. If I see a field in Texas, I may look for cotton or corn, but in Nebraska I look for corn, corn and more corn. When I hear Jesus dying and rising, healing and calling, I hear hope and a future that is different from the broken home and distant families. Faith and love come not because we are told to have them, but because we have truly heard the message that Our Father has totally committed Himself to us in Jesus that we can be confident beyond this life. Have we seen beyond the moment to the fullness of the Love of God that calls us joyfully to share That Love with others?
