Need to know: the nation was standing on tough times: people had answers that would not work, but to which they clung like to sinking boats. “Go to Egypt, get faster horses” and stuff like that. We look for financial tricks, better friends, sometimes better spouses and who knows what when the invitation of the Lord is to know WHO is the Lord, the Savior and how to rest in Him. What stress are we under today for which rest and trust could be the answer before we react with ”our wisdom”?
