Almost every election I have seen of national significance has featured plans, promises and little clear paths to some kind of renewal for the nation. And most have suffered under lack of community in DC and crossed visions of that renewal. The disaster of Israel in the lands of the Palestinians has proven not to be a clear restoration, but a step in what is hoped will happen. Politically, the adjustment is an ongoing struggle for all sides. What might be missing is this: “I will…..”. We have looked for power, will and political agreements to restore a people, nation or ideal to a single place while we have not been united in Who will do it. “I will bring my people back….”
