Isaiah 6:3 And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."
This is the vision given to Isaiah as he was commissioned to be the prophet. Awesome, powerful, incredible actually, but real. And for this, he was set naked, attacked, thrown into a cistern, and forced to stand before the nation in humiliation for what was still to come, but could not be believed. How could he continue in this role of prophet? Because he had seen a vision of what is only a portion of the greatness of God. Those who get all excited about Revelation should know that it is only a portion of what it is like to live with God. He had to be filled in order to be emptied of himself to carry the message of the Lord.
