1 Thes 5:16 "Rejoice evermore."
Luke 24:26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
This is the talk I wanted written down! How could those two disciples not have taken notes?? This would show us Jesus in creation, Jesus with Abraham, Jesus in the Exodus, Jesus with the Judges, Jesus with David and even through the exile. But, no, they listened, their hearts were burned and they rejoiced in the resurrection. OK, that was pretty good, but ….. the report. Now folks, take a look at the gospels and ask yourself where the quotations used in them came from. The disciples heard Jesus for their three years or so and He focused on the scriptures as pointing to himself. This is not an accident, but the work of The Father from the beginning. Thank you Lord for your Son from the beginning. Maybe we should read the New Testament Gospels again and ask ourselves where those quotations come from and why they are there. Maybe those two men did report to the disciples and to us. Look at the book!
