2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
For all of those who like to talk about God making decisions about who is saved and who is not, this is a clear statement that He wants everyone to repent and turn to Him with faith in Him. It is clear that not everyone repents and even when some see their mess of life and hear of God’s love, they still do not turn in faith and see the love of God, the offer is still being made. “I want none to perish”. Then the question comes to us: Is there someone you want to perish? Could we want them to come to repentance?
