To die on a cross!? Not my goal. To be rejected by the church folks? Not my goal? How about healing with compassion people set aside like lepers, the blind, the beggars and foreign children? Not my gift?? Well, maybe my hope, my dream, my wish for others. I do not expect such power, but I do will that the needy be blessed. How about the rich who suffer entrapment in their wealth like the rich young ruler in the gospel? ??Maybe?? Jesus loved the guy! OK, if I can get past the money. How about just putting my head and self aside and going for anyone who comes my way with as much love as I can muster? Then maybe His love will direct the whole business. OK, that I can follow.
