Dust

Genesis 2:7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

First: Honesty. I do not really think the creation of Adam was some kind of mud shape that was given all the gifts of living body in a moment. We are a much more complex, beautiful, life form of potential than that simple description. But, the dust is still part of the picture. Every particle of my body is “simply?” a combination of elements put together in a symphony of life that is well beyond accidental. I have been told by those who take the time to count that there are more creatures on earth than I can imagine. All made of complex combinations of the same basic elements in remarkable detail to form them. The Author of life, the One who cares for us, the One who came among us to show the heart of our Father took the clay of the earth and formed us all in the promise of eternity. And that gift was and is meant to draw us to Him as He has committed Himself to us. Hallelujah!
