The Bottom (Supreme) Line
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
It is not unto disaster that Jesus gave His life. It is not that one person might look at another and see death and guilt filling their lives. Jesus did not come to give us a brief vision of Godliness so that we can point at the people around us to show sin, greed, lust and the other deadly sins in action. I am afraid that with His gift we have been led to miss the greatness of that gift so that we separate ourselves from each other based on affirmation of the gift. What about we let Him do that part at the right time, while we focus with joy on the “not to condemn, but to save” portion of this promise. As we each struggle with the world portion of our living, let us help each other see the SAVED portion for hope for all.
