Ridiculous!
Joshua 6:5 When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in."
This was before the actual “attack” on Jericho. They were parked outside looking at the heavily fortified city with the thousands of pilgrims led by priests. Now shout and the city will be yours. Even pacifists would reject that call! Oh yes, the offer to attack was given by an Angel, even a leader of Heaven’s Hosts, but get real! Well, you know the results of this order. What walls have been built in the current challenge of our lives? Fear of further revelation of our weakness? A record of “sorta” misses in financial growth? Relationships that fail, not just once, but….? Is it possible that a trumpet is sounding in your life that you need to hear to move on into the new life The Lord has been working for you? Have we cried “ridiculous” more than once when the call is given? I pray that when the angel visits you, your army will rise and march around your challenge to walk with God. Maybe even show you the challenge when you are not looking anymore?
