Righteousness
2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
I know that I have sin (brokenness between Yahweh and myself). I know that there is no good in me that has not risen from Him in me. I know that this is the promise of the cross. Yet, I can come to Him freely because I also know that in the cross, I have been paid for, covered, redeemed for REAL. Please, you who read this, please allow yourself to take this promise for yourself each time you get angry, selfish, filled with pride or any of the other 10,000 ways we show not righteousness, but sin. Turn back to the reality that you have been covered by the Holy One, God Himself so that you may have fellowship as a righteous friend of God. This is HIS promise. We have righteousness!
