Submit!
Proverbs 3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
This is not about giving up. This is about recognizing our limitations in determining what is good, right and just. He, The Lord, can show us, in our humility, the heart of goodness and the ways of dealing with the broken world in which we live. There will always be events, people and relationships that are troublesome in that the acts of love and personal sacrifice we might offer may not open up the scandals that might be hiding in their lives. We need to seek the Lord in our dealings with others, especially if things look “too good”. Submit our virtues to His.
