Revelation 21:1 Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
What is heaven like? It doesn’t matter because something new is in the works that may be similar, but is new both for heaven and earth. The new is not built on the old, but replaces it as the weariness of the past is set aside for the glory of the new eternity. Am I part of the bride? OH MY! No. I will need to be remade, reset and fully recreated for this event and reality. Do you really think that this new heaven and earth is something we can enter as we are? We will be new. Earth will be new. Heaven will be new. Our Lord will invite all in as the bride, the people who find fulfillment in Him. This new heaven is not for us, but for Him and He wants His children, His bride with Him because that was the mission of Jesus from the beginning. John saw it as NEW. I could stand, rejoice, envision, even live to see all of us as NEW! What would you want?
