Ready

Rev 19:6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: "Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. 7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. 8 Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God's holy people.) 9 Then the angel said to me, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!" And he added, "These are the true words of God."

What has God done with us? Has He sent us on paths that bring glory to Him? Have hearts been turned to Him by something we have said or done? The multitude cries out in joy because the victory of the Lamb (Jesus) has become visible, real and impressed on the heart of John as he is invited to bring testimony to this great celebration yet to come. We cannot do this great triumph, but we can be part of the steps taken to that day. Are we ready to help others with their linen garments of victory over selves and the sins of our cultures? It is my hope that someday, when the times of life here are wrapping up, I will see the march of the bride, the fellowship of believers, come into the great city of the Living God and the walls of the city will ring with joy at the bride who enters. Are we ready?
