Isaiah 5:16 But the Lord of hosts is exalted in justice, and the Holy God shows himself holy in righteousness.
The early part of Isaiah 5 is about the failure of the people to be just and righteous, this verse says that such things come because of the Lord. After the consequences of injustice and unrighteousness. It is not because we act or even become better, but because He brings change to our lives, hearts, minds and spirit that He gets exalted and praised or even acknowledged. Have you or I allowed the Lord to take over in times of temptation or making choices of right and wrong? If not, why not and if so, how did that happen? It took years of failure for Israel to get a new start. How long do we want to wait for the Lord to be exalted in our lives? Is He now?
