Living For The Cry
Matthew 25:6 "At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'
We all want the day of the Lord. We all want the day when the pressures of this broken world are no longer hanging over us. The problem with that unified cry is that we each have our vision of the coming time. It will be “my redemption”, “my new world”. But the trouble is that it will be “His new world”. He will come and His bride will receive Him and His attendants will be those who rejoice and the rest will see the shortage in their vision of the times. I suspect (this is an offering – not a certainty) that each of us might find that our expectations of the day of the Lord will need instant adjustment as we run out to meet Him. Maybe we need to loosen up our expectation to be free to receive Him as He is and when He comes.
