Everything

Revelation 21:5 He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

Will I eat, sleep, love, build or serve? All questions from this experience of God’s grace and creation. I have walked through a few studies of the book of Revelation and find redemption filled with destruction and praises and outcries of sorrow praise and fear. I don’t get these pictures in my relatively safe home in central Texas USA. I hear the cries from Sudan and watch the bombs in Gaza and Syria and wonder if any one there could find hope for something new from Him. Start with the ONE ON THE THRONE and ask if He who made it all could possibly refine His work so that all will rejoice in His presence and provision. I suspect that the EVERYTHING offered will be of such nature that the old structures and definitions of life may well be forgotten as well as the broken hearts we carry will be renewed in His presence and purpose. I am still a long way from that “new” He offers, but I am joyful in the expectation. What do we want to hang on to from this experience of reality that could be replaced by the “all things new”?
