The Gift
Luke 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
Is not THE GIFT Jesus? Well, yes if you want to limit the gift to just an introduction to the presence and power and purpose of The Father and not the whole gift. Would you want to have a flutophone or a clarinet? Maybe a date with your wife or a life? (OK, maybe your husband too!) Jesus did bring a presence and THE Sacrifice to us, but the point is that we are to be in the Father’s house of life by means of the Holy Spirit whom Jesus said we are to wait for. How much of Our Father do you want?
