Family Blessing
Psalm 103:17 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children
This is about heritage. When a family honors, trusts, obeys and respects the Lord, there is a promise of the love of God being available to those families who do that. This does not guarantee the faithfulness of the children, but of the Lord to provide Himself for them. The family character is real and offers hope for the family to experience together. This underlines the promise of the Lord. The breaks in faithfulness are part of the reality of a family who seeks the Lord. This is about a family seeking and honoring God with the balance of turning to the Lord when they fail as well as when they do listen and serve faithfully. The generations to follow will know the One they serve and will have great hope in Him. Are we building a heritage of His presence?
