Sufficient
Exodus 16:8-10 Moses also said, "You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD." Then Moses told Aaron, "Say to the entire Israelite community, 'Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling.’" While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud.
The bread (manna) and meat (quail) came in spite of the grumbling of the people as an act of grace from the Lord. They did not deserve them, but they came and allowed food for the people who did not trust God nor Moses. I have noticed that there are people who seem to get by or better in spite of lack of visible trust in the Lord. I am not a judge of such, but it strikes me that when good things happen, good supply is found, good healing and God does not seem to get credit, it might be a good idea to ask such “where did it come from?”. The glory of the Lord (vs 10) was the answer for the question that should have been asked. Do we, even those who claim believing, ask or admit that God might be the source of good supply or blessing?
