Esther 2:7 Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This young woman, who was also known as Esther, had a lovely figure and was beautiful. Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.
When she was orphaned, young and beautiful, Mordecai adopted her. When her life was on her own, she had a new start that ended up in the palace of a ? tyrant, emperor, despot? King. She was definitely not on her own any more. She was owned! Her life was limited to the King’s desires and will. All of this because of death and adoption in this life, but also because of a threat to her people which the book of Esther deals with. Here the point is that there is a time when God opens doors that would otherwise construct barriers in front of us. What circumstances have we let shut doors that He might be opening in our lives? Keep our eyes open to His purposes when……
