Rejected

2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

That which was rejected became accepted because one took rejection for those who were rejected! Did we follow that. Jesus was not rejected but took rejection for us in our “prove it” estate so that we would be accepted where there was no “prove it” possible. Sin in its nature means to reject God as Lord, Creator and Father of our lives. It is not so much, though it certainly qualifies, about what we do as who we think we are. “I am lord of my life” is an attitude that automatically creates sin even if we do nothing against the rules of humanity or God. Jesus surrendered His “Lordship” so that we might be called what we could not be: Righteous. Have we rejected ourselves enough to claim His as our own?
