Curses and Blessings
Genesis 12:1-3 The LORD had said to Abram, "Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
This is the moment and the promise that both blessed and directed and purposed a nation for 3000 years now. Even as the people who are called Israel today struggle for security and purpose, so did this family in the purpose of God discover times of joy and even peace along with self-worship, failure of purpose and a visit from their Emmanuel. Can we desire that their purpose may yet be a part of the plan of God in our day and the times to come. Today, this promise is shared in the lives of those who walk with Jesus and His Holy Spirit so that all the world might be blessed. May our (Israel and His church) be a blessing to all. Let us not bring our curses on others. Please.
